I would not be horrified, excuse me. You must think of me as some great, condescending virtuoso who can stare at a song for five minutes and then whip it out, full tempo, sans flaws.
Au contraire Annie, au contraire. You think my Clair de Lune sounded so stellar when I first played it? Non, non, non... It lacked rhythm and taste.
I just slipped in half an hour of practice before tearing myself away. I promised myself that if I completed homework in a timely fashion then I would reward myself with more piano practice!
So I really started the Revolutionary Etude, rather than just playing the right hand (the melody... and then some. Just the right hand.) After ten minutes, I can play at a decent tempo! I feel awesome! But then again, looks are decieving. It isn't as difficult as it looks. Unless you're like me - I actually made it harder on myself by adding a couple of extra notes that aren't in the score. Oops. I had to reprogram myself and readjust, which was a bummer.
What did you think of the satirical essay in English today?
I think whoever played Jay Gatsby looked like Brad Pitt.
In response to your proposal about the weekly video thing... I suggest that we post the videos here. I get embarrassed about my playing sometimes and I'd like to keep it off Facebook and here, where relatively few people will see. I mean, I'm pretty sure I can count off the number of people who read this thing on one hand.
When is your next home game? I will come and cheer loudly and and in the most obnoxious manner from the bleachers.
